Every instructional video I see on cleaning and lubricating a bike chain says something different. The last two videos I watched said specifically NOT to use alcohol or alcohol based cleaners on chains. Then this video says to go ahead.

I've always used a synthetic SAE 10w-30 oil after cleaning. Haven't had any problems. :)

I use 3 in 1 - certainly seems much better than any bicycle specific lube - used it on RAB 2019

Says lube sparingly at the end after putting loads of lube on. Far easier, but more time consuming, to apply a drop of lube to each roller then work in by pedalling back. Most lube states to leave to dry for 3/4 before use, this also stops crap sticking to the chain. I'm not saying this is the best way but this is what I find best.

Wondering if you can help me with this question I have a coaster brake bike We change the back tire and as I ride it, when I coast it feels like the back brake is slightly touching or rubbing. Is there a way to fix this

Squirt lube is wax based & no degreaser to clean it off just a stiff brush.

Thanks. Great video.. If I use wd40 specialist dry lube with ptfe as maintenance lube.. Do I still need to re-lube after that if I ride in dry conditions? Isn't the wd40 dry lube with ptfe lubing enough..?
