I think the hidden killer that nobody seems to pay any notice to is Geoff Johns.

He single handily meddled with nearly every DCEU project that was made, whilst also trying to selfishly base all of the DCEU around his own work.

He fought with actors and directors. Was one of the many reasons Suicide Squad and Justice League were butchered. He was responsible for WW84, Black Adam, etc.

Every little decision or interference he made helped kill DC, and he stuck around in the shadows meddling every time there was a change at the top.

Peacemaker and the Suicide Squad are basically Judy Dench in the Bond franchise: the one element that inexplicably survives the hard reboot and you should just not think too hard about how that makes any kind of sense whatsoever.

Its crazy how much they were drowning with the DCEU, when their animation side of DC was actually really damn good.
