"Rodni went missing Aug. 6 after attending a large party at a Sierra Nevada campground, authorities from both sheriff's offices said. The grounds are about 17 miles north of Lake Tahoe and 36 miles from Reno, Nevada.

Between 200 to 300 minors attended the campground party where Kiely was last seen, officials have said.

Authorities have not said exactly how the teen's car ended up in the water. Her cause and manner of death have not been released and results from toxicology reports are pending."

9, 000 man hours! Then 2 dudes arrive on scene and find her within 48 hours? It’s absurd how ineffective police are.

These volunteers are great. They have their own YouTube channel. They have solved many missing persons cases.

Damn right this is a VERY BAD look for all the law enforcement and authorities involved in this girl disappearance.

Nobody's saying white girls and women shouldn't matter. As a black man I just wish my mother sister aunt and grandmother mattered just as much.

Everyone should check out their YouTube channel. They do this all for free. They never charge for their services. Their equipment is far above the norm which is a big part of their success

Cool to see one of The Diesel Brothers on your show, such cool guys. They have done this lots of times, good guys who do all kinds of good stuff to give families closure.

These diving groups always notify family and authorities.
When there are bodies of water in the search area, these groups also always look in the water... it's what they do.
I'm so sick of those who would make everything a conspiracy....I mean, get a real life.

Look into this group. They aren’t making money for themselves, they only make money for being able to help families for free!

Adventures with a purpose has been picking up the police slack alot. They've been finding missing people left and right that police have left go cold.

Even though they had nothing to do with finding her authorities will still try and take credit for her being found

The red tape for law enforcement dive teams is questionable. Adventures with purpose gets it done when the family asks for assistance they always notify law enforcement when they find something but its a 50/50 chance law enforcement will be professional with them .

Law enforcement have no reason to be mad when you have a family who are not giving up unlike those wearing badges did.

Not sure if folks understand that sometimes it's easy to miss a vehicle under water. Even on AWP sonar, a 'fresh' car reads different than a car that has been sitting under water for a longer period of time. It's easy to sit here and saying 'Oh the police need this equipment & training'; but really, how often would they use an expensive piece of equipment like AWP uses; and having to keep updating it and learning how to read it. And WHY do you assume it's fowl play? IMO The Toxicology report will hopefully detail what she had in her system; and then the investigation NEEDS to go to WHY a huge group of hundreds of teens were allowed to 'party' in the campgrounds like that. IF we had something like that in my neighborhood, I can tell you it would be shut down faster than fast. But it does NOT help the family to keep insinuating there was fowl play until there is proof. This was most likely a drunk 16 year old (maybe blacked out) who drove into the water; and then couldn't get out of her car. (AWP has an amazing video on their channel to show people how to get out of their submerged vehicle. Might save a life if folks go watch.) Whenever there is a victim in a car in the water there IS an investigation; doesn't mean there is fowl play. :p When I saw the vid of the original searchers, it seemed they were too far out in the lake. AWP considers many things when searching, where could a car get access to the water, how far might it travel, and a 'fresh' vehicle can read on their sonar completely different than a vehicle that has been there I think social media needs to 'slow their roll' with this case because it's almost to the point of inappropriate. SUPPORT AWP by subscribing to their youtube channel! It's free & helps them keep going!

It's pretty sad that these private teams can come in and get things done when the cops have no idea what to do. And they can do it without causing casualties.

looks like someone disposed of the body. That does not look like an accident.

She was partying with classmates that evening, called her mom too let her know she was on the way home, then got in the car started it passed out and rolled into the lake. When the car filled up with water it rolled over upside down.

Being on the offensive seems to be a problem for the police in all situations.

Francesca has it totally right. Brains, not brawn should be the goal in the police departments.

I was expecting a happy ending…after all the true crime I’ve consumed, I can’t believe my naïveté 😔

I specifically heard him say "call the authorities". That is right when diver came up from the water. I do not think she was in the water when LE sent divers in the water. I think she was out there after the original search.
