On these data location sharing apps, can you check the location of someone continuously?? Does the location have to be deliberately turned off to stop?

I find it very odd that Kiely would purposely turn off her location before heading back home ..

That girl said “her location was off” in an early interview- so fishy! Still convinced it’s foul play :(. 🙏#justiceforkiely

Last Friday, my adult daughter went to a work party. She was way overdue, couldn't reach her phone and it was very unusual for her to not contact. I was absolutely beside myself! Reported to the police, check hospitals etc. I had no idea where to start looking for her! Hand to heart I can honestly say, I wanted the whole world to be looking for my daughter & what happened! Look at every damn thing no matter how rediculous or insignificant it may seem!

*She is OK, returned later that night. Was in a no signal area & a sober driver took longer to drop people off at their homes. I was SO grateful for the people who immediately jumped on to social media to see if anyone had seen or been able to contact her! For those that slam social media - walk a second in others shoes & you'd have an entirely different POV!

Evils are everywhere. The devil is pulling plugs on humanity. You're seeing rages everywhere from road rages to your living room. Something is spooky happening now.

Well, if that girl said Kiely's location was 'off', but it wasn't at 12:03, then 'that girl' had to know it had been switched off. And if she knew it had been turned off... why? Maybe *she* turned it off?
Kiely was still in that general area.
If someone turned it off for her - it was to make someone think she'd left the area altogether. Now who was sooo certain that Kiely wasn't in the water there? And then denied she had been found after initial reports that AwP had indeed located her?
And how did that window get broken? Was it broken later to plant or remove evidence?
Something doesn't add up.
Also, was the alleged last contact between that girl and Kiely to show that there was distance between them when Kiely disappeared?

When I ended up upside down in water after almost fifteen minutes I was revived and life flight my phone was an I phone and stayed underwater for over two hrs while tow trucks retrieve the car and chp recovered my phone because it was an I phone 12 it was still on and working when It was given back after 4 days after being released from icu so it’s possible that it took some time for water damage to set in for the final ping

Location sharing may be turned off manually, while the other functions of the phone work or its main gps location data collections. .
Kiely probably shut the function of 'location sharing" off in the Life360 app at 12:03.

LE and mom should check the cloud for pics or videos that would have time, location, etc. stored. It might help narrow timelines down a bit, too.

Maybe, if you have a teen/minor driver in the family, maybe, you could put a tracker on the vehicle as well as on their phone. Then you have two possibilities to find instead of only one. It may not have helped in Kiely's case being under water but it might help you in the event you ever needed it.

With Life 360 you can check their location and see the phone in motion as long as they have signal and they haven't disabled the app on their phone but I don't know about other apps and I haven't heard anything about whether or not they've found the phone. I'm hoping that it was just an unfortunate accident and not anything nefarious. If it was not an accident I would bet there's a lot of nervous people in that area 😬 I do know that the FBI is processing the vehicle and that is a good thing IMO

With Life 360° it would show exact location of phone. So the cell was submerged in water and stopped working, or the location was turned off. Why was the lake not searched extra vigorously if they had Life 360? I have retrieved my cell phones twice with Life 360 now.Its given me exact addresses both times.

The cell phone sharing location sucks for me. If I try to see my daughter across the street, or downstairs and it shows her 7 blocks away.

There is an app parents can put on their kids phone, it a tracker. You can continuously check the location of the phone. But, a teen would easily be able to shut the app off. If the cell phone dies, you’re unable to check it as well. Some parents in my family have this app. I don’t think Kiely was the one who shut it off, if they was the case.

This could be crucial! The life 360 app is amazing for tracking anyone who allows you permission to their location, and it is in real time so could really narrow down the timeline for this whole chain of events 🥺
I hope the police are 1 million billion percent on the ball as far as the investigation goes and that ALL of Kielys loved ones get the answers they need so they can begin to heal from their loss as best as they can ❤️

So honestly, those apps need to have a security lock on them so a random person cannot shut off location without knowing the password to the phone!

I'm exhausted from all the theories. I'm going to read a book and wait for the autopsy report, then the toxicology.

According to AWP, when cell phones do not log out or transfer towers normally but just cut off, it means they were smashed or submerged in water. AWP will then draw a 5 mile circle around the last cell location then mark deep bodies of water, that gives them the starting place to search. The car was upside down presenting the darker under side up, making it hard to see. If it were cloudy only complicates visual sighting, but one clear sunny day and the car was easy-er to spot. (All from 3 years of watching AWP cases)
*If the police had dragged a hook behind their boat, they could have found the car within hours.

Sorry to sound so dumb, but have they actually recovered Kiely’s phone from the car? It’s just that I haven’t heard whether the actual phone was recovered or not?

I have this app if the battery is low and on save . It stops the location..

The iPhone 13 can withstand water in 20 feet deep for only 30 minutes max.
