I thought the stones didn't work in the TVA because it is in a pocket universe or the end of time.

Honestly my headcanon was Ultron wasn't using the stones to affect other universes but instead himself who is from the stone's universe of origin.

Actually my headcanon is that the infinity stones powered Ultron himself. It’s the best explanation I’ve seen someone say online. It says since Ultron is a machine and is literally integrated with the mind stone, it can absorb said energy from the stones and re-use it in whatever way he sees fit. Which is why you see some energy beams being shot out of stones you wouldn’t expect like the time stone. This also makes him much more of a threat because it means he would be the only character that’s been shown to be able to use infinity stones in this way.

Actually, in the comic books, the stones worked outside of their universe. They just weren't as strong as they were in their own universe. Hope that helps.

Actually in season 2 it’s revealed there’s a power dampener that keeps magic and other abilities from being used inside the TVA it would stand to reason since most magic or power abilities the characters use in the MCU are a form of each infinity stones energy or drawn directly from them that power dampener would affect the stones themselves too.

I think the excuse for what happened in what if is because infinity ultron is using all the stone to increse his power and make him more and more powerful. And as far as I've noticed the great fight in the end only took place on the same universe where natasha is the only human left.

Ultron did not use the Stones directly, but powered himself and his armor with them, which is why their power worked in other universes.

Really glad im finally seeing SOMEONE understand. Everyone ive seen react gets confused because of that loki scene but they only make the claim about how magic works inside the TVA not how they operate in the larger universe

I think the stones not working in other universes still applies, but because Infinity Ultron had the multiversal omnipotence coming with temporarily mantling the Watcher's domain, he was able to circumvent it.
