Before removing anything to clean or repair, I suggest you grab your phone and take pictures of the area before removing each part. Just check the pics in reverse to reassemble.

I had my machine serviced recently for the very first time EVER and boy was it worth it! They not only clean your machine but they also adjust the timing and settings. My machine runs so much nicer now, even the stitches look nicer. A little maintenance goes a long way.

Also I have learned (the hard way) to use quality thread on my high end Viking. Why do we pay so much for our machine the use low end threads and fabrics. Thanks

As a tip I use cosmetic brushes, it seem to work well on my Singer 210, Singer Quantum 9960 and Brother PE 550d (embroidery only machine).

And...don't forget...change your needle routinely!

Not all throat plates pop out. My Janome has two screws that need to be undone to remove the plate .

How do you assemble directional fabric so it doesn't come out backwards?

This is the 3rd The Sewing Room Channel video I’ve watched today & I’ve enjoyed each.
The videos are informative & you definitely have a lovely speaking manner.

I love the quiet that you hang behind you.
If you don’t mind, could you please do sew along for that quilt. I appreciate it ❤

I have found if I shut my machine off for a few seconds then turn back on that sometimes reboots it.

Thank you so much. I have never taken off the plate, too scared, but not now.😊

I also use a hand held vacuum to catch the dust as I'm brushing inside the machine.
