Leftover panel pieces are great to incorporate into the backing too. I'll even do that with blocks that haven't come out quite right.

Thank You Cheryl for this tutorial on increasing and decreasing the tree skirt. I need a tree skirt pattern for a small little 4 ft tree that I have. This would be perfect I'm thinking about making it maybe?
12" in length. Also on your panel fabric, I was thinking it would be good. To fussy cut out the squares, and do a log cabin strip around each square. Pre-determining the size of the finished block. I think it would be nice to do it with those pieces. Thanks for all that you do and the many ideas that you come up with. ❤️
