i think arthur’s conclusion is amazing and better than johns. however, johns conclusion can’t be understated. just like how dutch spent his life fighting, even if what he fought for meant nothing, john ran away from everything all his life. his orphanage, the law, his gang, his life etc. but finally, he realises running hasn’t helped him or his family. so in that barn he lets his family go on ahead. he reflects on his life and what the future for his wife and child could be. and he opens those doors. it also co-insides brilliantly with dutch’s conclusion but i’m not smart enough to explain how

John takes motivation and goals. Most of RDR2 Arthur doesn’t know why he does most of what he does and only near the end he starts to see clearly. Whereas johns goals and motivation in RDR1 is to save his family and in RDR2 is to build his relationship with his family and escape the outlaw life
