Good info. I had a chargeback with Square, I provided all the documents they wanted, I still lost the money, they blamed on buyers bank. Absolutely no seller protection. Lucky for the scammer who lived far, I would have burned his house down if he lived close, I kept his name and address, one day if I ever travel by his city

After a couple years, no problems, no chargebacks, nothing- we got a notice that they needed additional information (our business verification and ID's and about three rounds of verifications). Still gave us the letter saying nope account gone. When I talked to a service rep about, " What are we supposed to do now? All of our inventory and sales records and money are in that!" She said, " Just make a new account" how is that supposed to help me if I'm a "high-risk" individual in your eyes. Ugh so mad at Square. We switched to Shopify POS and Online so we will see how this goes but I never miss an opportunity to tell someone how bad Square is.

So thankful for this video and with live news clippingS....That really sold me. I saw the SQUARE site and liked what they offered in their free package. I looked them up today and was about to use them for my business. I said to myself "LET ME SEE IF THERE ARE ANY YOUTUBE COMPLAINTS, FIRST." This video definitely made me change my mind. Thanks.

Thanks for the video, looks like square is more tailored to businesses that handle smaller transactions on a daily basis, based on what I see in the video. I have been using them for about a year and have never had any issues, perhaps is due to the fact that I'm not processing thousands of dollars in transactions.

This is video is very educating. I also have PayPal and based on what I learn today If I ever have to process a high amount transaction it would probably be best to just have the customer mail us a check or use PayPal, to avoid this issue with square, also I transfer my funds on a monthly basis, at the end of the month I transfer my sales to my Business Bank Account where I feel is safer.

So if they're website was ever hacked or down or in this case closed the only amount they will be holding on to would be the current monthly sales, This would ensure that my my business operations would not be affected. Like the saying says you never put all your eggs in one basket.

Dead on my man. The company is exactly as you stated. There are a lot of YouTube vids just out there to trash people and companies for reasons perhaps unjustified but Square deserves every complaint directed at them. Hopefully this vid can be more viral to save others the pain and frustration of this terrible company.

I've been using square for 6 years now and I've have NEVER had an issue .. And I'm well over 100, 000$ in sales...but I ONLY use it for my business and nothing else... But I will keep an eye on things thanks for the info

Wow. I used them for about 13 years. Thank God I never dealt with this. I instead dealt with EBay ripping me off as a seller and a buyer! These companies need to be held accountable! Expecting anything from Jack Dorsey, who is a complete s**m bag, is a futile attempt in exhausted energy. The company is run by him. That alone should be enough to turn people away from Square. I will be checking into Stripe.

I’m a business owner have been selling merchant services for 12 years and represent several processors. You are right, square could care less about you. the fact that they don’t have monthly service fee is irrelevant. my rates are always lower, and I am always available to help my clients. I also have 24/7 American based customer service. square has all the same costs as any other processor, they just build it into a flat fee, but they are not the lowest cost. it just makes it easier to understand.

I have square for a year and so far no complaints, money gets deposited on my account with in minutes. I had a call from one of representative from the company to introduce himself and gave his phone number in case if I had any questions or problems.. so far so good 👍👍

I work for a company called HIT payments and we battle clients all the time that think Square is a good company. They think its fake when we tell them the only fees you'll pay are the monthly software fee if you get a terminal or POS. But we will give them whatever system works best for their business. We like to think of ourselves as the Small Business Warrior. Small businesses are struggling out here and every penny counts. Thanks for bringing awareness about how shady Square is.

I switched from Square to Chase after a fraudulent chargeback. I literally gave them proof that the customer was, in fact, lying & they still gave him his money back & expected it to come out of my pocket 🤦🏽‍♂️

Fortunately, I had already withdrawn the money. So I simply deleted the app & never used it ever again. My account is still in the negative, I am certain, but who cares? 🤷🏽‍♂️
