Tow ins are brilliant as well. Ask someone who looks comfortable to tow you in, you can follow their speed and line and it will really help give you that confidence to send it.

Always love Blake's jump vids. I remember watching one of his first. Jeez probably about 6 or 7 years now. Where he was in like a "pit" area. So simple, so basic, but so effective. He doesn't over complicate or hype up.

I like jumping hip or side jumps like airing on a half pipe as a teaching tool because you don't have to go a certain distance, you just pop up and come down the same lip. Basically you do a bunny hop and turn around in air and land. I built myself a table top about 4 feet high but 20 feet long, very safe and progressive because you have to go harder and harder to clear the entire thing.

Love your vids, Blake! 👏🏻 Great and helpful content, not only for the beginners. Even my 7-year-old son knows famous "welcome back you beautiful people!" and we're not native speakers 😁

I find the best technique is to pedal as fast as you possibly can, close your eyes and hold on tight 🤣

That looks like Bike Park Wales to me. Good vid Blake. My confidence is growing (with help from GMBN + others), and I'll be going back there again to ride and jump and ride and jump and ride and jump....until POPTY PING!

I struggle with changing jumps, went to a bike park Saturday and all the jumps felt smooth, with smooth take offs. Hit a track today and even with the smaller tables they had this sharp kick to them which had me bucking like a jack rabbit 🤣

Do something in the air, I like a little tweak to the side like a table move.
Doing something stops your brain doing nothing and creating a dead sailor.
I think this is why you see so many people do a weird push and pull midair.

When you get jumping it becomes so easy, all the effort of pushing into the face, the pull and then the huge push forwards to make the landing turns into a simple movement much like bouncing on a trampoline.

Get to a jump track and hit the same jumps over and over, I did over 50 laps the evening I got it.

All that said I had a big crash just after cracking jumping ( wasn't a jump ) and so I went back to unable to consistently do it again and havent unlocked it again since as I can't risk coming off.

Love your videos and way of presenting Blake! Can you share some hints how to approach jumps which are going down on approach, just before steep shoulder/jump? I always feel I am not quick enough in changing my body inertia from going down to immediate rush to the air - and I often get a kick into rear wheel. Thanks

Love your videos BLAKE!!! You have an unmatched energy/vibe. LOVE IT!
Quick question: I am unsure as to how you keep your feet stuck to your bike's pedals. The only one time I got good air time, I felt as if the pedals weren't under my feet but still somehow managed to land on them. Please help me understand.

After my last gap jump debacle I'm not sure my wife could take it. But I'm keen to give one a go when I find an appropriate adaptive bike signed an incomplete quadriplegic 😅😅😅

More injuries, more injuries, more injuries, more as an orthopedist I thank you for pushing people too far! I can’t tell you how many stupid people show up to gap jumps and have over confidence. Anyone wanna hang out at a trailhead in Bentonville lately? It’s a good place to open an ambulance company.
