U made 7 sq
Here is the actual solution:
Pick any two toothpicks inside the bigger sq(which are at 90 degrees)
Place inside the only remaining smaller square (as u did in the vid)

U will get 4 small 1 medium and 1 large square (comparatively, the ratio of their side lengths will be 4:2:1 )

There’s 7 squares at the end because there’s those 2 plus the four but the outside of the 4 adds another one so it’s 7 cause 3+4 is 7

There are multiple solutions to this. Technically you could argue that the gap in the middle of the toothpicks already make a square, and the outside square made from the four smaller squares counts. I’ve seen it done this way before.

Never let them know your next move: Move 2 tooth picks to get a six next to a square.

Not that hard to do though I agree it could be 7 squares

If you consider all outer squares it is 7, so two border sticks from different squares have to be picked

👏👏👏👏I am a genius. I got it the moment it came on👏👏👏👏

technically there's already 5 squares bc the 4 inside squares then the outside perimeter is a square

Bro really made 7 squares and didn't notice it.

better solution:
don’t move any of the toothpicks
the 4 squares you already have combine to make a 5th square
then there’s 4 toothpicks that meet at the center, in the center you can see there’s a tiny gap making your 6th square.

Guys he literally said "you went from 4 to 3", so if he didn't consider his initial squares to be 5 to begin with there's no reason for y'all to count them as 7 and not 6, Stop confusing people 😅

I got it right as the video started, but I thought you had to take one toothpick from two different squares because, as @Techy Mage said, their solution makes seven. Tell me if you thought the same! 👍

I found it by taking L shaped sticks from left bottom and placing it in upper first square box in +shaped form we get 6squares.

To make 6 you have to move two from inside and put same way as you show. So it is 4 smalls, 1 average and 1 big.
