It can be done with 1 straight line! The rules didn't specify the thickness of the line. One straight stroke with a wide paint brush qualifies as one straight line.

Ok. First of all, these are line segments not lines. They are of finite length. Second of all, if there is no bound on the length of the segments, as stated there is none, then this can be accomplished with three segments arranged like a very tall and thin letter N or a very wide short letter Z. This can be accomplished since the three middle dots will always have a minimum thickness as a finite set of three thicknesses and so a slightly off angle from vertical line segment can always be made to fit in there with long enough lines.

The circumference of a circle is r-√(2r^2)/2 +√(2r^2) - (r+1) /2

If r is odd then = (r+1) /2

The solution given here is not accetable, because the lines were drawn beyond the dots, so actually there were 11 dots to solve the puzzle.

First draw a straight line by joining dot 1, 5, 9 and another line joining 3, 5, 7 and thn join 2, 5, 8 and join 4, 5, 6
