I like how the metallic thread is easy to remove and that it doesn't leave thread fibers in the cloth.

I have never thought to grid my fabric before cross stitching. This would have saved many a curse word. I will have to do it on the next project

Oh wow, I wish they had the technique of gridding all those years ago when I was doing counted cross stitch. I've done some huge projects and the counting over and over and over to make sure I was where I needed to be before stitching was something else! But all worth it in the end for a lovely project. I don't feel that I can see well enough anymore to do cross stitch, so I'll be hanging out with y'all while I work on other sewing and/or machine embroidery projects. Thank you for showing your gridding method - really quite interesting!

I stitch on evenweave, but always start from the centre, so don't need to grid
