Best Budget Large-Format 3D printers: Modix3D Big-60, Big-120, Big-180
Hi everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video we’ll tell you about large-format 3D-printers manufactured by Israel-based Modix.
Modix specializes in manufacturing FDM printers with a larger build volume. For example, the base model, Big-60 - has the form of a cube with a side of 60 centimeters. Even larger parts can be printed with Big-120X, 120Z and 180X 3D printers - the indexes indicate the build volume in centimeters along the X or Z axis.
All Modix devices are equipped with Titan extruders and Volcano hot-ends manufactured by the British company E3D. The design of large 3D printers, features Hiwin guide rails and belts produced by US-based Gates Corporation. Modix 3D printers offer fully automatic bed leveling that uses 100 probing points.
The manufacturer also offer the optional installation of the second extruder and a set of acrylic panels forming a full enclosure.
All Modix devices come unassembled, every package contains detailed assembly instructions and a video tutorial.
At FormNext 2019, the manufacturer showcased a new model - Modix Mama. Thanks to its modular design, this 3D printer will be able to print objects with dimensions of 1x2x5 meters.
