Scratch 1.4 was actually created in 2009 and was the last major update/version of 1.x before 2.0.
1.0 is the first public release.

1.4 was 2009, some thing were different before that like the start and stop buttons being in big round buttons rather than a small long box at the top

in versions 11Oct03 - 22Dec04 you can actually rename the functions (if you download the .image files on your computer and open them with scratch 1.4)
