Some people are just assholed man thanks for trying to help those who need it and yes it works I've done it to lots of leaky old cars and trucks and worked 90 percent of the time. Not a permanent fix but usually lasta couple of years anyways. Good job at fixing a annoying problem of oil on your concrete floor or driveway.

going to try this first, because any time were "smashing it into the groove " is part of the job, it has got to be worth trying. If it dont work then I do the gasket replace

thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for, I actually replaced the oil pan and gasket (a very hard job) and had a leak, tightening bolts helped but still see some oil escaping. will try this to hopefully have no more issue.

It seems like mine is leaking from the bolts, even though they are tight. Ima try unscrew one at a time, throw some brake cleen in there, and inject some 90 min gasket maker.

I'm guessing this is just a temp fix for leaks? I'm looking at a 99 7.3 and the guy says it needs a new oil pan gasket. I don't got the money to pay some shop $1, 000 + just to fix a gasket

How much oil was it leaking like a drip drip drip drip or a stream or ?

why do they make these connections so that they'll be able to leak? why not just put a permanent weld and eliminate having to go through all this trouble?

Curious here, does this procedure actually work? You never showed the results so I am presuming it did no??
