Bit of an oil leak between the pan and the block. I tried sealing it with RTV from the outside but it still leaked a little bit. Read up about this stuff and decided to give it a try

This stuff really does stop the oil leaks. For shade tree/back yard guys: get the vehicle up on solid jack stands. Have some sheets of cardboard to lay on and catch the drips. Wear a cheap face shied, disposable gloves, long sleeve shirt and a cap or head covering. Had to use a little gasoline and rag to get some out of my hair. My old 94 Ranger leaked for many years at the oil pan gasket. I first cleaned underneath with Gunk engine cleaner and then again with carb cleaner. Then I used a toothbrush size wire brush to get it good where the gasket is and sprayed with carb cleaner again and let it dry good. I used the nozzle to get in close. I removed the starter to get that area good. The nozzle allows you to get to any tough to reach spots. I ordered two cans. One can gave me 4 good coats. I did 5 coats. It dries to an almost clear, but kind of a yellow tint. It leaked bad in many places and for many years. Not a drop so far. It stays pliable, which allows it to expand and contract, which is why I believe it will hold a long time. Promise to come back later for an update. ** I gave an update that is listed below. It lasted 2 years.

Not sure if it was this exact product but in the 90s I used this several times on oil pan to engine leaks. The leaks are very lite. It worked but you need to make sure you do the job right. The product seemed to work as the leaks did not return. Not for big leaks or where there is pressure.

Going to need to try this with my Jeep. Damn timing cover is leaking. You should have used a good degreaser in the area first to get it nice and clean of oil and grease for better application and adhesion.

i would have liked to see the pan immediate after use application and maybe later after a few miles in use? It seems messy but a bit of masking up and ground cover would hold that.

I use this sealer some tips shake the can for several intervals for over a minute get the can warm after that in hot water shake again then spray, when the product is watery U didnt shake enough and getting the can hot causes the fluid to set better and faster

It works, I used it on a Northstar engine. Don't get it on the flywheel. Causes an external imbalance

BETTER TO APPLY WITH A WARM CAN TO A WARMed A BIT TOO SURFACE. Cold sprays to a cold place dont stick well and that is why things fail. Be on paint or sealer.

Do you have an update on this? I messed up too when i changed my VVT Cover, i didn't put RTV on the gasket and now, while its not dripping leaking, it is leaking a tiny bit.

Updates? Funny how my KA leaked in the same spot as well.

Thanks for the video. You probably don't have to spray so much for each coat. Please provide any updates since a short-term leak stop would be pretty much useless.

Does this dry clear or is it going to be obvious this has been applied?

Hi. Hope all is well. Can you give us an update on this? Did the sealant work?

Were you able to spray it on while the oil leak leaked? Would the sealant work even if there is an oily surface?
