China's Navy vs The US Navy - Who Would Win the South Pacific Sea

preview_player
Показать описание
The battle for the South Pacific is on, and so far, China has had almost free reign to expand its navy and fortify man-made islands while also surpassing the United States in the number of ships ready for war. Today we will compare the two most impressive navies on the planet, the United States and China. We will analyze the different strengths and weaknesses between the aircraft carrier capabilities and who really holds the strategic advantage.

The videos are made by the same team that brings you The Infographics Show.

Unlike China we don't count fishing boats and canoes as military vessels.. also our vessels carry a lot of flying missile shooting missiles and metal torpedo shooting megalodons.

If China’s ships hold up like the stuff we buy from them…..I don’t think the US has anything to worry about.

As someone who has served in the US military, these videos always make me laugh. These numbers are only the unclassified publically published numbers. I can tell you for fact, whatever the US publishes they are usually years ahead of.

It won't matter how many ships China builds because it will come down to experience in naval warfare. China have never been in any major naval engagements while the US have 200 years of experience in naval warfare. Then too China is practicing the same doctrine of the Russians which is having overwhelming numbers. Numbers that consist of having cold war era vessels added to their more modern arsenal. I believe that China's strategy would be to cripple America's carriers with overwhelming missile strikes. If the US can develop counter measures against China's missile strikes then the war would be over for China within weeks.

That is a bit of a misnomer. By count, the PLA Navy has more hulls in the water than the US Navy. However, the US Navy has TWICE the tonnage in the water as the PLA Navy has, roughly 2million versus 4.8 million. The PLA is comprised of mostly littoral ships, versus the US Navy's blue water fleet.

Realistically most of China's advantages are likely instances similar to the Mig-25. A Soviet aircraft that was thought to be far more capable then it really was. The US panicked and developed the F-15 in response, which went on to be the most successful fighter of all time. That's likely what were seeing with the PL-15 and YJ-12.

The USA has a huge advantage in economic power the USA has a law in place where in war time almost all factories in the USA will switch to consumer goods to producing military equipment it will be like ww2 china will have the advantage for a few months but the USA will activate this law and outperform and out produce China this is why you never mess the USA

On paper the Chinese navy is good. In practice ... I'd be way more scared of Britain or German navies

I'm not even bothering to watch the video. If the US navy and the Chinese navy went head to head, it wouldn't even be a contest. The US navy is something like four times the size, has more advanced ships and weaponry, and has far more experience.

Two things:

1: The USA, since the 1950s, has been a minimum of twenty (20) years ahead, technologically, than they claim to be. Not only this, but they invariably have the replacement for any vehicles that they come up for retirement dates for... no matter when they list said retirement date. Their replacement is already deployed. _(The NGAD is a good, recent example of this as a USAF General let slip, during a news conference, that the NGAD had finished air testing over eight years ago, and was "doing well in its deployment tests." This was in 2021.)_

2: The USA _also_ has hundreds of corvettes, frigates, and other smaller attack vessels. The difference is that these do not get calculated in these videos because they are not under the US Navy. They are US Coast Guard. They are, however, fully armed and modern vessels.

The Chinese navy has little bluewater capabilities they are all shallow water which isn't really a navy

- why even do this video? The US would obviously win very quickly. 😂

The us submarine fleet alone would defeat the Chinese navy

I wish they would quit saying that China has the largest navy. The word large means volume. In tonnage the US Navy has the largest displacement in its Navy. China has the most “ numbers “ of ships which is derived in its addition of small coastal boats. The US has 11 carriers with China having 3 with only one of them even close to the class of US Carriers. STOP ALREADY
