That is true, however it is much more physically demanding on the body. If you don't have a lot of stamina, you won't be able to maintain such an offensive playstyle for very long.

In the case where top Athletes play 1 Match per day, it shouldn't be an issue, but if you don't compete at world level internationaly, chances are you are playing many matches on the same day. So this may be difficult to keep up.
I think the best way to go about it is by taking example on the Great Legends of Badminton, who can play with varying levels of intensity.
Slow and controlled to stay consistant, but Turning on the heat when they need to with sudden bursts of power and speed!
