Super excellent! Very very important this instructional video especially the ending about not moving sideways back after the deep shot. Thanks! Much appreciated

THIS... THIS is why I've been missing/mistiming all my inside out forehands!! Thank you! 🙏🏼

This lesson was VERY VERY GOOD. Breaking down court movement, plotting it over a simple X pattern, now that's something that just might stick! Funny that, in wheelchair tennis, we ALWAY talk about this giant V shape from a point just behind the baseline called The Hub. When hitting a ball in front of us, we always move toward it at a 45 degree angle (and return to The Hub along the same angle). But we never talk about the other side of the X, retrieving deep balls. Only makes sense. Good stuff.

Brilliant as always. Great to see you back Nate.
You don't have your wrist protection! :) hope you're doing well with it!
Happy Easter!
Cheers!

It s a really good video, I get it, its not complex but you don't want to return to the centre, the X needs to be spread a bit more along the baseline as you will be returning on either side of the centre at a least a racquet width

Great tip and video of Diego. Going to try this in my next session!

Don’t know why we tend to move laterally so much. Why do we hesitate to move diagonally forward on most balls? Why do you think, Nate?

Great lesson Nate! Just what I needed to hear and exactly what my coach told me to start working on two weeks ago. Thanks man. Cheers!

Very helpful information, Nate! If I move in this X pattern, do I ever move horizontally along the baseline?

how would this interact with recovering to the opposite side of the shot? (the whole not actually returningg to the middle thing?)

do i move the x with me? or do i adjust the angles? or both... probs both

You're definitely one of 'The X Men', Nate. To hell with 'Sideways, ' this is the way to go from now on.... I hope.

It's a very good strategy. Thanks for teaching it. As you said it is important to recover back to the centre so that you won't miss out. My daughter has a match to play now, hopefully it will help her. Have a great day! 🙂

I swear Tim and Eric write these videos "We've got a SHAPE, we've got a U, or RAINBOWS." 😅😂

But true is the recreational don’t hit so much baseline, so basically we move at parallel….

The middle of the court is rarely the middle of angles an opponent can make.
