There was a report I read that showed bigger channels spend significantly more time making each video. Which got me thinking, how much time should you spend making a video?

Oh good god I so spend around 10-15 hours on my videos from beginning to end. Obviously the shorter ones take less, but that’s average for me. I think of each one as a little work of art.

I think the videos that do best have great tags and titles and they start immediately without a long list of credits and explanations about the video. My most popular video took about two or three hours, including editing and uploading. It is ten minutes long. I was surprised by its success.
