Pediatrician Jay Gordon discusses what kind of developmental milestones parents can expect at two weeks. Babies are dominated by reflexes, and they won’t be smiling much at two weeks, but they should be making plenty of eye contact. Babies should have some head and neck control, but not much. Major two week milestones would include facial contact and some eye muscle movement.

I'm so glad you mentioned the eye crossing. I was so scared to see my newborn cross his eyes but I would just hold him close and promise to accept him regardless of what the eye crossing meant. Low and behold, its not a defect! Thank you.
