4 Negotiation Books Everyone Should Read

Here are the four books that most improved my negotiating skills.

The first is Words that Work: the author, Frank Luntz, is a master wordsmith for politicians, he's actually the reason we say "climate change." His book is all about how word choice affects whether people agree or disagree with you.

Never Split the Difference: this is an FBI hostage negotiators guide to winning any negotiation, as a bonus the stories are incredible.

Getting to Yes: The classic, I think Never Split the Difference is a little better and has some good critiques of Getting to Yes but you should read both so you can decide what you agree and disagree with.

What Every Body is Saying: Words are only a small part of how we communicate. If you can't interpret what people are saying with their bodies, you will have a harder time negotiating with them, so read this to learn how to read body language

Im halfway through Find out anything, From anyone, Anytime and it fits pretty well in this group. Written by a former CIA interrogator

Checking out Never Split the Difference simply because the audiobook is narrated by Michael Kramer! I'd listen to anything he narrates.

Frank Luntz... Powerful...? Really? He's a lot more than controversial. He has no moral center. He's a sociopath that has done so much harm in the world.
