Using the PS4 Vertically

I was totally confused why only my PS4 is placed verticaly instead of horizontaly cuz all my friends that have a PS4 are using PS4 horizontaly. But know you opened my eyes.

How difficult would it be to design a cooling container that you can place the ps4 in or any game system

less stable + you block the airflow, causing the ps4 to get a little bit hotter.
The disk drive might also get a bit more noisy because its fighting gravity.

Is it safe standing up though? I know discs in my old Xbox when it was standing up would get scratched and stop working if it moved even half an inch. I'm just gonna lay it flat and not take that risk..

Ps4 needs vents on the top like xbox I reckon, also when its placed vertically the heat will rise up through the disk player as it's mostly warmer on right side which I dont think is ideal, obviously doesnt seem to effect it now but I just dont like the idea or design
