When compared to people genuinely struggling to keep up with inflation and mortgage payments. The government spending 2.5 billion on stadiums seems a bit odd. Why are we following anything the US in doing anyway. You can almost guarantee a hand full of well connected lobbyist are going to get loaded off that 2 billion dollar investment. Please australia don't follow the USA energy policies. They're fuel is more expensive than ours and their climate foot print is way worse.

The cut to mental health services is a concern. Also the greedy government tax on cigarettes while banning vapes is a clear 'money > health' initiative, sickening.

One of the few sites allowing Australians to comment on the Australian budget. Democracy and free speech at its finest!

There seems to be little discernible distinction between the Labor and Coalition parties. Both appear to persistently pursue policies that perpetuate widespread poverty and financial struggle, as well as engage in actions that contribute to environmental devastation. It becomes challenging to perceive any disparity between them; it feels akin to witnessing an individual with limited cognitive abilities repeatedly colliding with an unyielding barrier.

Politicians and others earning over $200, 000 pa get over $9, 000 tax cut from July 2024. Compare anything you get against that standard....🤔

The wins are good ones! shame to see mental health been given the curb basically. Especially consider the amount of money going towards sporting facilities in tassie and brisbane.

So labour magically managed a Surplus despite massively organising to restrict the very Industries that supplied it. Namely. The resources industries in particular Coal and LPG well thought out Labour luck is a fortune in this case given more 4 years of government they will have destroyed the revenue gains completely.
