Peele talked about in the past about working on mad tv and how not a single production worker was okay with bringing in chimps, cause shit like that happens all the time when people bring those type of animals in public places. I love how OJ’s caution of JJ’s feral animal tendencies was what kept him alive. He never thought of the alien as something he could control, it was an aggressive animal and that was something he was accustomed to not wanting to provoke. OJ may not have been good with people, but he understood predators.

It definitely surprised me. All of a sudden, we are in a Jaws-type movie. Even the ending is the same, except the creature has to smile for the camera this time. I guess you could add Jaws 2 as well, "Open Wide. Say Ahhh!"

You missed a lot of the references and hints especially with the “Gordy’s Home” plot and the “bad miracle” foreshadowing, but I guess it’s hard to explain that in a recap like this. Everyone should watch the full movie though. I liked it. Realizing that wasn’t a “ship” but the aliens STOMACH just tripped me out and was so disturbing.

This movie was awesome I watched it 3 times and everytime I saw something I missed. Jordan peele always comes with originality; THATS WHAT MAKES JORDANS MOVIES SO SPECTACULAR!

I love this new monster. Great creativity to combine something akin to a biblical angel and what we think of alien abduction. To think they're one in the same, and to learn it's just an extremely rare animal.

Now I'd like to know it's life cycle. Probably spends centuries hibernating in the atmosphere.

Yep getting so many lovecraftian vibes. It is all about don't look a predator in the eye because they'll see it as a sign of aggression. And then there's the whole chimpanzee thing which I know where they got that from and if you ever listen to the audio of the real event it's not pleasant.

At first I didn't like nope as much as jordans other movies. But then i just kept thinking about it and eventually came to the conclusion that even if its not pure horror it's still one of the best movies I've ever seen
