I don’t like taking care of myself (brushing my teeth, washing my face…) and I don’t think I’m depressed (although I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder) but when I see you doing your skin care and and taking care of your teeth it makes me want to do that too, so thanks for helping me. I love your content so much, you’re my fave YouTuber! 💕🐾😺😺

Hey :) I have a pro tip for you for getting into the body instead of the head in the morning :) I used to practice mindfulness with Thich Nhat Hanh for many years, read his books, listen to his teachings... And one thing that helped me immensely was when lying in bed still, before opening the eyes, noticing the body. And in my head I had these sentences "breathing in I notice I have a body. Breathing out I connect to my body. Breathing in I feel my body. Breathing out I smile to my body. Breathing in I am grateful for my body. Breathing out I realize that my body is a wonder. Breathing in I feel present in the moment. Breathing out I know that this is a wonderful moment. This moment. Wonderful moment." And then I practice gratitude for being alive and being offered this day and only then I get up and do my Yoga. This helpes immensely with not getting into the head and thinking of work especially as a self-employed person.

Kennedy, I needed this video SO much. I am a work-focused, corporate chica too. I suffer with complex-PTSD and your videos have been so soothing and comforting. I have never given myself real space to do things just for fun. I’m so glad my sister connected me with your channel because you truly add to my healing journey. Thank you so much. Love ya bestie❤

GIRL I really needed to hear this. I just got my dream job and the anxiety of doing it right has stopped me from actually presenting my work and this just CLICKED. I just gotta turn up and learn on the job. I love this. Thanks so much!

One thing that really helped me have a good and consistent morning routine was starting in the evening - I make overnight oats and put them in the fridge before going to bed and choose my outfit for the next day, so those choices are already taken care off. Sometimes I put out a cup with the tea bag already in it so I just have to add water. Small but useful little things really do help. These days I start work later so it's all a mess, but hopefully I come back to something cohesive again soon xD

I saw someone on tiktok make a menu of hobbies/dopamine boosters and it’s now my go to when I catch myself scrolling all weekend.

Apps - quick boosts under 30 minutes (stretch, walk, do nails)
Entrees - passions that light you up (video games, reading, hike, visit a friend)
Sides - something to make a boring activity better (light a candle, have a yummy drink)
Desserts - usual go to’s but yucky in excess (scrolling, Netflix binge)
Specials - (concert, travel)

Could be fun to use to add to your itinerary 😊

For my fellow cozy friends, I’d really like to shine a light on the advice you gave at 28:57. I’ve struggled with anxiety, burnout, and wanting to keep things heavily structured and regimented myself in the past. Your advice reminded me of how I treated myself when I was a child with no concerns of what the world thought about me; I’d just let myself explore new avenues and be present and see what took form.

Not sure if it’s been similar for you, K. As a creative myself, I’ve had to sort of decouple and decompress myself from a lot of bad habits I picked up that boxed me in from exploring and letting the process play out. I can’t tell you how helpful this section was for advice. Thank you so much! ☺️

This video made me think about how my morning is already kind of a routine. And I should take a moment and be much more intentional with the beginning of my day. Thanks for the inspiration!

You are so right about some of us needing to schedule our downtime, in terms of not just putting the time aside but actually deciding what *relaxing* things to do, in advance, do that we don't spend our whole time off doing other crap.
If i don't write "take a bath" in my planner, I end up cleaning my damn house more. I have kids, there's ALWAYS more cleaning which could be done. Should I do it? No! I should take a bath!!
Thx for the reminder.

If i could get up an hour earlier I could plan a morning routine, but as it is I want (need) the sleep more so I roll straight into making lunches, waking, dressing and feeding two children, feeding a cat etc etc etc. I do get cuddles with said children so that's a nice slow part I will protect

Omg, the journaling prompts for planning your morning routine is genius! I've been wanting to change up my morning routine and now you've got me really excited about it. I'm going to sit down today and answer those same prompts. I think it'll help solidify my ideal morning routine but most importantly will give MEANING and PURPOSE to it. I love it! Thank you for sharing. :)

Chila is so cute at breakfast, I have a little black cat named Tabby and she will full-on dunk her head into my matcha lattes if I don't stop her 😭😂

❤ My cat passed away last Friday and this video is distracting me from my grief and comforting me today. Thank you so much for all your content and what you do. I’m still trying to heal from severe burnout as I worked 50-70 hour weeks for almost 3 years straight besides taking my 2 weeks vacation and a handful of personal days each year. It ended with a mental health breakdown last year and I’m still learning how to balance it all. Thank you for everything ♥️ your sweet kitty babies making biscuits is helping me so much

The nail painting part brought warm memories of my mom and painting our nails together 🥹 growing up. Such sweet memories. She's the best. 🧸 ☕️ 🧶 🤗 🤍

That variance routine method might actually change my life, I’ve gotta get on that. Last year I had a completely consistent work schedule and it was so easy to plan hobbies, workouts, and seeing friends and family around it, and a morning and evening routine just fell into place! This year I’ve been working shifts and had inconsistent days and those routines and priorities have just Dropped, but I’m gonna write down variants for what to do on my different shifts. I love this idea and thank you so much for sharing it!! 🧡

Nail drying spray! And/or Sally Hansen’s quick dry top coat! And/or running them under cold water!

My mom used to do nails, so I was heavily immersed in the nail world lol
