In this video, I go over the resources you need to learn Linux. I go over how I learned Linux and which resources were the most valuable and new ones that I wish I knew back then. If I am missing any from the list, let me know in the comments!

You are doing so much for the community. I wish I had this resource when I first switched to Linux a year ago, and I'm learning so much from you and Derek. Thank you so much.

Always wondered how Chris is learning so fast, almost magically. Watching this video made my day.

Hallo Chris, I write this, a started Linux user from the Netherlands, disappointed Window user, after Windows 8 and 8.1.
And switched op advise to Ubuntu and later to Mint.
I saw your videos on YouTube about Linux and have learned a lot, not only Linux programs but also from Windows problems.
I hope you don’t mind, that I thank you for all your video’s. (I learned not only Linux but also Engels)

I must applaud you for having a really organised channel with updated playlists and for shouting for the urban penguin channel. Keep it coming!

Reinforcement learning is the most effective way of learning.

So set a goal and make lots of errors!

Chris, you're awesome in my books. I started in DOS 3.0 and been fairly in depth with PCs since. About 3-weeks ago, decided to take the Linux plunge with my HTPCs, liked it, and now running a Debian distro on my work desktop. The learning curve is vertical and your videos are a Godsend, SSH, fstab, Grub rescue, etc. Already playing with Arch in a VM and liking it. I wish I could break with Windows completely; however, I work for a global company and they're in bed with the latest Microsoft technologies, my spreadsheets are far too complex to run online or in Libre Calc. So far, a Windows Pro VM is helping to bridge personal preference versus programs needed for work. When I retire, I am soooo done with Windows.
Again, thank you, love your passion for Linux.

The other day I had to look for a how-to on install some drivers on debian. Don't remember if I solved it by watching one of your videos, but the first thing I thought was to do so. Maybe seems like a random thought, but I thinks it speaks volumes to the work you put here that my first choice was to search through your videos. Keep them coming, we'll keep learning

Just installed Kubuntu on my old works laptop and so far so good (at this moment in time downloading new all the updates in Discover, that's how early on in the process I am). I wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't for your excellent and informative videos such as this! Thanks for the work you've put in and who knows, maybe Linux of some flavour will eventually go on my daily driver.

Thanks Chris for video! The arch wiki has helped me with other distros so I agree they do a great job on that wiki.

Other few ways are:
1) join Linux communities
2) reading man pages
3) figuring out what the problem is instead of blindly googling it.
This is the way i learnt Linux and from the past few months following Chris titus tech YouTube channel.
Hats off to your work sir 😊😊

Love your stuff! I would love a walkthrough of Linux Audio for Multi-track editing with Pulse and Jack. So confusing.
