I like this long-form demonstration style with minimal editing. You're a great speaker and I'd love to watch more.

Love the freaking prong. My GSD is the same. Huge. Heavy. Big goof ball. Stubborn. But super smart. He learned in 1-2 days. Tom is the man. Thank you forever. ❤

You're probably one of the best trainers I've watched - all of your training seems really well balanced and based on each dogs personality. Keep it up! 😁

I really appreciate this uncut video! Seeing the dogs progression happen without cuts was great to see as we train our GSD. Loved this approach with this video.

You are really doing an amazing job at educating people. You just really are the coolest dog trainer. You are just genuine. Thank you Tom

Thank you! It’s so hard to find an unedited video of someone exposing their secrets in actual practice!

Nice puppy !!! GSDs grow so darn fast !! ... Perfect example of how well a dog responds to a HS prong collar.... the very first time wearing one. !! They dont hurt the dog...if used correctly... like Tom demonstrated .. Pulling on a flat collar is what does damage to their throats!!

Yes, please! More! More!
Going out with grandson’s 2 yo GS in a few minutes to apply what you taught.
Thank you.🌺

I LOVE that u explained the benefits of a prong collar during training especially when your training a young powerful dog.

Yes a prong is misused by most. Your traing advice is sound. Having a well trained dog is a RESPONSIBILITY and a COMMITMENT most don't understand how VALUABLE it is in in the long run for both -- you and your puppy/dog. It pays off 1, 000 fold in the long run. It's a relationship you build not force and it's actually fun.

Owning a dog is a RESPONSIBILITY and a COMMITMENT. If you don't want to put in this kind of work get a lap dog not a big powerful breed.

Your training advice is sound n perfect. In my opinion, the coolest/funest part is higher level training where you hone in on what they are bred to do and watch ur family member excel at their natural talents and yet be the most loving, devoted companion you'll ever have!

These are super helpful especially with it not being edited so we can see how to begin and end a session. Thank you for all your hard work I can't wait to learn more!

🔥🔥 Tom… uncut was so incredibly helpful! Thanks for showing all of that. You’re helping more struggling owners yourself - than all our friends (arguing dog trainers) put together!
🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm planning to move to a different state to live with my son. He got himself a German Shepherd puppy last year. Juneau is almost a year now and my son hasn't had a chance to train him. Since I will be semi retired, it will be up to me to unofficially start her training. I appreciate all the help I can get

Loved it! Our pup is 5 months and gets a daily walk. Until now, it has been to explore and learn about sounds, cars, people, other dogs. I will be introducing leash pressure soon, she is a hound with nose to the ground pretty much the whole time. She needs to learn I'm at the end of the leash!!

❤ "strong dog that doesn't yeild to lead pressure" That is my 1 yr old GS. I will always use his Herm Springer because we get great walks with it! It helped immediately.

Love to see more videos like this one, it gave me a really good idea of basic, natural things to expect and a realistic gage of where my puppy is in her obedience journey. Thanks for your work and care 😊

I really love the slightly longer format training video. It added so much more information than some of the cut and edited videos do. I love seeing such a gorgeous gsd too. And he is so big already. My gsd mal cross is 60lbs full grown and that guy looks already around there even tho he is only six months. Also I love how you say direction is different than correction. Pressure can mean different things if applied different ways.
