It would be so awesome to make a wish and have it come true: I wish that ALL marine life would return to whatever its greatest population was in the last 2, 000yrs.

That stupid song (Ohh this is crazy) was driving me nuts. Never put such a frustrating song on a video.

PEI is hard to bet as far as granders go. That's a big fish.
I live in coastal NC and for anyone who doesn't know a fishable population was
" discovered" maybe 20 - 25 years ago of bluefin tuna. No one knows if they had been migrating here or for how long.
Seems to reason they had not been showing up here that.long because a lot of.times th1ey are caught withing site of the beach feeding on menhaden. I can't recall a 1000 lb er caught ( It's probably happened and I didn't know) but many 600 - 800 are landed. It's a very controlled fishery and each year a weight quota is issued. The boats going for them include those In " Wicked Tuna " but locals target them to sale and for mega dollars. They all get a plane ride to Japan where they are even more valuable. They show up sometime in Dec. peaking in Jan and only 1 per day are allowed with a short open season that depends when quota is caught. I ve been out after them once and failed to land a fish but many of the boats around us got a fish. I ve heard one is usually enough after bring in a 800 lb fish.

These fish are not to be hunted ! They live a long time and numbers are down.
Sad that people still believe that it's ok to do other than film them from drones or simply leave them alone .

I'd like to know the rod blank as well, there was very little bend for 100lbs of drag

I like how they make tuna fishing look so hard on Wicked Tuna... then there are tons of YouTube videos of guys chumming them up to the boat.

this reminds me of the fish farms i used to go to as a kid. the tiny ponds were so stuffed with fish you just plopped your line in and immediately caught a fish. then you had to pay for the fish before leaving after 10 minutes... not fishing by any standards

hows the one big boy- he loooks at the dead bait, turns and laughs. thanks for the great underwater feeding habit shots. as you can see the fish are semi selective, that big monster must have been hungry.

So you pay a guy loads o money to reel a fish to the side of his boat using his rod & reel on a line that he tied a hook on then put on bait then chucked it in the water lol then when a fish takes the bait u get to have pic took lmao yeah nice1
