2025 Toyota Camry Review | Toyota's Finally Gone All-In On High MPG Hybrid Tech!

The 2025 Camry is poised to be the best selling hybrid in America, and thanks to every model getting at least 44 MPG combined, it's also going to be one of the easiest on your wallet. Yep, for 2025 Toyota has not only ditched the optional V6 engine, but they also killed off the 2.5L non-hybrid base model. Unfortunately that does mean that the base price is up nearly $2,000, but hybrid vs hybrid the 2025 is actually a hair less expensive than before. You can also get AWD on your hybrid Camry now, and it'll be available on every trim including the base models. The price bump may offend some folks, but the payback timeline vs the old base engine should be under 3 years for most folks *AND* the hybrid should have lower long term repair and maintenance costs.

I bought a new 2020 Camry LE hybrid because of the Lithium battery in that model. It was ranted at 50-51 mpg. I set the mpg calculator when I left the dealership and never reset it. I have driven it 75, 000 miles w/ 90% of those miles in the highway. The overall for 75k is 48.1! I am totally delighted. Next car will be another one only with AWD.

AWD, 44+ mpg, while being 0.5 secs slower than the old V6 is very impressive. No other midsize sedan offers that combo and I absolutely love this doesn’t, much better than the otherwise boring accord if you ask me
