You know what’s not boring, having a reliable car that keeps its value over time

What is boring about this car? What more is a Camry supposed to have? Seriously. What else is it supposed to do? It's doing Camry! That's why it's the best sedan out there. He coulda saved this one. Yes, they're all hybrids now. No, there's no more V6. It's the progrssion of last generation which was the progression of the one before. Every Camry model has carry over from the previous. So? That's how you maintain quality. If it's working really well, don't screw it up. I like the new one. I have the prev generation and am so satisfied with it. I had a 2008 and was quite satisfied with it, and I had a 1993, and was exponentially satisfied with it. Boring and all, it had 300k miles on it. 45+ mpg's is not boring at all!!!!

Boring cars are what we need. Actually affordable (under 40k new) reliable (easily ger 2-300k miles with basic maintenance) transportation, thats safe, efficent, and will last more than 10 years. No stupid 60K evs. No plug in hybrids. No stupid iPad dashes and touch screen essential controls. Buttons and knobs, with essential functions using controls that just work abd are always there

I would’ve never looked at a Camry 5 years ago for a daily, but what an incredibly smart move in NOT going futuristic and useless. Kudos, Toyota, for being very smart about the buttons, small infotainment, and simple, but effective powertrain.

As I watch this I see a car manufactured by a company that actually cares about what customers want.
Physical controls for climate control, a physical volume knob and radio power button, a physical gear shift lever, not a rotary dial or buttons. An impressive fuel economy rating is also really nice. Hybrids are the near future, even if EVs are where we may eventually be. Hybrids are our best option right now. Also, people wanted more gauge customization and they got it.
I’m tired of manufacturers putting everything on a 20” touch screen, putting the gear selector on a knob, and ramming it down our throats.

Still much better than all the needless Crossovers, SUVs and supertrucks I see all over our paved roads

Doug's contempt for the type of vehicles 99% of us drive is more evident all the time! I have a '21 Sienna with this powertrain and it is awesome. Who would have thought 20 years ago that we would consider a sub-7 second 0-60 time slow? We're so spoiled.

Doug the type of guy to be the first to test drive the Camry and be 2 months late on dropping his review

That Camry is actually a nice looking car, What's boring about it?? Solid, economical, reliable, easy to maintain.
I call these types of cars peace of mind engineering, which you don't get on a BMW, breaking down 100 miles from home in the night, isn't exciting, and knowing you will be getting home from 100 miles away isn't boring.

That's one of the best interiors this year. It punches way above its class.

Love my 2021 XSE V6. It's not fast at all, but it's definitely a lot more fun than a standard SE

Love the gear shift being an actual gear shift. I say this as a 22 yr old Gen Z guy. I’m just tired of all the ultra modernization a bit.
