Amazing blinds. I've been trying to create black out for my entire house, upstairs anyway but at £600+ for just 3 windows upstairs I can see I am going to have to stick with 247 blinds. So I now have a burning pain just knowing these beauties are that far away. It's wonderful that you explain what you are doing and why because tradesmen like you are few and far between and really, if you want a job doing properly then you have to do it yourself.

A word of warning for anyone looking to buy the same product from the company Charlie quotes in the description. They are ridiculously expensive! I was quoted £600 for just one unit for a standard sized window! You can do far better with local companies or day John Lewis. I suspect this chap got his unit for free for featuring it on his channel but the average customer won’t be so lucky suspect - be warned!!

Charlie, my good man, as somebody who works nights, this is exactly what I'm looking for! I'm about to watch with glee!

Just found your channel Charlie, it's absolutely brilliant and I am sure of that; so let's be honest here this will give me a lot more confidence with home DIY. Many thanks indeed.

Excellent, that's so useful. I bought quite a nice, lined Austrian blind but the light still pours in very early mid-summer. I'm definitely going to consider these...

Another great video, I do nightshift and I got a blackout roller blind from a local blind fitting company which is not good at all. I will contact you soon directly to get a blind. Thanks Brian 👍

At 2 min ten seconds you show your kit neatly laid out for the job. Yep, it only takes seconds to put one's stuff down neatly, rather than stupidly. I was extatic seeing this as I work tidy and trades working messy makes my blood boil.
More to the point, another very useful video. Thank you.

Bloc blinds do a kit same as this but a pull down blind, been using it for years, expensive but well worth it

Really liked the video, until the end and the price! Wow they seem expensive but I will still be looking into getting one for my bedroom as I often have to use an eye mask and I too use one of those stick up blackout blinds like in the video!
Holding the hoover how you were when drilling looked a bit awkward, can I suggest you have a look on Amazon for a "Drilling dust nozzle". There are various ones available but the Festool one is surprisingly one of the cheapest and the best. Also something else you could add you your "tool store".
Thanks for your videos!

That is awesome. Almost as good as a German rolladen shade.

I wish you had made this video years ago :-) . I work at night and have been DIY'ing window blackout for many years until I came across BlackoutEZ Window Covers about 4 or 5 years ago. They work really well but I really like the blinds you showed in the video much better so I'll definitely be looking into them.

An easy job with such a recessed window: practically made to measure! Spare a thought for us insomniacs with sash windows.
