That's St Peter's in the Vatican City. I was there last week and wow, it literally took my breath away when I walked in. Wasn't expecting such grandeur. What an incredible place.

As a Protestant I’ve actually always had a deep respect and admiration for Catholic traditions. I’ve always loved going to cathedrals and seeing these beautiful murals and the amazing architecture as well as listening to old hymns. It’s always fascinated me. There’s something really special about worshipping in that atmosphere.

I find it fascinating how different countries have wildly different associations when they hear the word "Protestant". When Americans hear it they tend to think of Evangelicals, gospel music and megachurches, while Dutch, German etc think of Martin Luther, whitewashed walls and bare crosses. Meanwhile in England it's especially strange because a lot of CoE churches are very ornate and Catholic, so the idea of a Protestant being upset or confused by traditional Christian architecture is very weird to us XD
