Today I’m going to show you should be reheating pizza, just like you are getting pizza from a slice shop. You're going to use your pizza stone.
There are a few different reasons why you’d want to reheat pizza the right way. Maybe you made a great pizza and you want to eat it as perfect as when it first came out of the oven, maybe you picked up some really good pizza and it got cold before you got home or you have leftovers from a previous day. Or maybe you got some pizza that isn’t that great, and you want to jazz it up by making it crispy.
Here’s another great reason. You’re having people over for a pizza party and you don’t want to spend the whole night making pizzas. So you can cook the pies before everyone comes over, and then give them that final crisp when everyone is ready to eat. You can also bring pizzas over to a friend’s house and finish them off on a pizza stone.
Use a pizza stone and preheat in the oven at 550 degrees for an hour. Get your pizza to room temperature by taking it out of the fridge 30 minutes before you put it in the oven. Reheat all the slices directly on the stone; New York-style for 3-3.5 minutes, Chicago Deep Dish for 7 minutes, and Sicilian for 4 minutes.
