As usual, a lot of good tips! Something else that I added this last European cruise that I went on a copule of weeks ago was a clothes line. It was a 9-night cruise with pre and post hotels, so it was hard to pack for so many days and my friend and I decided to do some laundry and wear again some pieces. We packed traveling Tide sink pouches and the clothes line from Amazon that even brought the clothes pins attached. We put it on the wall using the magnetic hooks and that was perfect. Of course we hanged the pieces of clothing on the shower and waited till they were not dripping water not to damage the carpet. We learn new things every day!

Tip for bar shampoo… I put the last piece of my shampoo bar into a cloth tea bag, it holds the bar together when it’s too small to hold.

I split all our clothes among three suitcases. That way if one suitcase is lost or delayed, everyone still has clothes. We board Navigator of the Seas on Friday!

I really love your videos! They have been extremely helpful. One of the things I’ve started to do is leave my hanging clothes on a very slim nonslip hanger. They take up a lot less room than the ones that come on the ship, so I am able to hang more. I usually can get a pack of 50 at Costco for about $12. When I get to the cabin I just take my clothes right out of the suitcase and hang them straight in the closet.

Hi Ilana! On our last two cruises I used a large suitcase and took all our hanging clothes (we hang just about everything but bathing suits, shorts and undergarments) ON THEIR hangers, fold the whole stack as one in half, and put them right in the suitcase that way. When we arrive to our cabin, walla!, we just hang up our clothes! Also makes disembarkation packing a cinch! The clothes have very minimal wrinkling. I've done this once using a garment bag inside the suitcase and the other time with just the plastic of a dry cleaning bag.I haven't had any problem fitting the large suitcase under the bed on Princess or Holland America ships.

I tend to start planning my wardrobe when trying to get to sleep. This tends to cause many sleepless nights🤪. I learned the hard way about carrying a few items to wear when one time my luggage didn’t arrive for few days. I had to wear some of my hubby’s underwear and cargo shorts. I’m hoping to be offered a Level 8 suitcase to do a video on too. I always use cross-body bags on cruises. Feel safer with them. Even though we are avid cruisers, I still learn something watching your videos. TFS

I took a good laundry line with built in clips and laundry sheets to hand wash my items on my latest cruise. They were awesome and will be coming with me from now on. I took one dressy blazer and multiple tops that changed my look each night. 🎉

21:42 something to think about...we LOVE our personal towels...Mickey Mouse n so on. I get them on sale at the end of the summer...They r not thick but the r LARGER than most cruise towels...i never have to worry about paying the lost towel fee 🤗 AND when we get off the cruise we r not carring that CRUISE Towel over our arm...that towel is a BIG SIGN that says scam me i a cruiser and i just got off the ship. We TRY to blend in w some of locals and we do not look around like we are lost. We walk w a PURPOSE to the shop or bus and do not slow down to speak to anyone

Love using my Beis luggage, bags, and cubes especially for longer trips. They fit so much for all the options I bring cause I refuse to underpack. These days, I feel it’s really the packing techniques and the actual items brought that can make it easier or harder which of course depends on various factors. Last Caribbean cruise all the friends we made were shocked I was able to basically have a different outfit for each of the 11 nights in just 1 big checked luggage, 1 carry-on luggage, and a backpack.

Thanks for all the travel tips. I do use packing cubes and swear by them. I take the cubes out of the suitcase and put it right in the drawers. That way you can organize your drawers without the contents actually touching the drawers. Makes for great organizing and you can see what you need. I always bring light weight bedroom slippers. I do not want to walk on those sandy carpets. Another thing I do is pack my evening clothes on a hanger and pack that right into my suitcase. That way it is much quicker to unpack and everything is already on a hanger. I do a lot of online buying and those plastic bags that garments come in are great for shoes. I do not want my shoes touching my clothing. As far as my toiletries go, I will bring full size especially body wash. But I usually bring toiletries that are almost empty. That way I have enough to get me through my cruise and I can throw the containers away when they are used up. Makes a lot of space for souvenirs. All this fits in a hard side 20 inch suitcase along with a soft side carry on. It can be done.😊😊😊😊

I just purchased the 24” Black Level 8 I just love. I didn’t get the bigger size because I’m a chronic over packer. Just packing because I have space. 24” keeps me on track … sort of 😊. I love your videos 🙌🏾

Regarding level 8.... I was always told to but luggage where the wheels are under the case and not stuck out.

I love to wear dresses, both casual and cocktail, in the evening so I put each dress in a dry cleaning bag and fold in half or thirds depending on length! Those go in last, on top of my packing cubes with other items! I have never had to iron any of my dresses, cotton fabric or otherwise! But those dresses don’t come home that way! I save the bags for the next cruise!

We had our 1st cruise there was a big storm with gale force winds and the temp went in F from 85, down to 64, 67, 72. then back up over 80. We had packed very light wind breakers at any rate in case it was windy at night and cooler on deck. On our first tender after the storm, when we wore the jackets, someone asked us if we were from Canada, and when we said yes, their comment was "I don't know anyone but a Canadian who would bring a jacket on a cruise going south of Florida."

I just started using packing cubes and I am totally converted! They are awesome and I was surprised hiw much I could get in them. Also I wouldn't put any liquids in the shoes. They could leak and your shoes and socks will be wet or possibly unusable depending on what was in there. Also TSA may want to check it out and that would be a pain to unpack. Thanks for all the tips! I like the shoes tip about them matching at least 2-3 outfits. I am a notorious shoe overpacker and I will use that tip lol
