Second World War pilots and aircrew have been reunited with a Spitfire that flew on D-Day. The veterans joined the Spitfire in the skies in a civilian aircraft to see and hear the famous fighter roar above the countryside surrounding Biggin Hill. One veteran was lucky enough to even fly in the aircraft.

Brave, brave men. A spitfires pilots life expectancy was as little as four weeks and yet they still took off and got stuck in. Max respect for the RAF pilots. Well done boys.
