I read recently that 24% of all Marine casualties during WWII were on Iwo Jima. I salute you and your brave comrades. You were part of a generation that saved the world from darkness and evil. I was born post war and you gave me a life of happiness and peace.

I had a friend that served fighting against Japanese. Humble experience he wouldn't talk about it. However he did say to me two incidents one of which he said Lewis back in war last night. He had nightmares about it until the day he died never over the war. An acquaintance of ours we rent it from years ago couldn't over the war quad experience he had eventually he took his own life. We will never be able to repay the sacrifice of suffering in one way or the other that hellacious War you Young men went through for this country. Of course we can't do anything to change what happened. But I'm hoping America will not abandon the veteran❤❤
