It's crazy to think that there will be no more WW2 vets soon.

I love talking to veterans, there is this nice fellow in my apt building who cut his teeth in WW2. Dude has THE BEST stories, dude drove a tank. Vets are the best of us, I thank him every day for his service.

The USA needs parades for all members of the military including veterans. Why don't we see this anymore 😔 😢

When I managed a McDonald's I had a group of older dudes who'd come in. This guy I absolutely adored was a WW2 vet. He was 81 at the time. Drove dodge ram SRT truck. He hopped in and out of that thing like he was a teenager. Walked tall and straight. When he shook me hand it hurt. This guy was a boss.

He never did wanna talk about his experiences.. not for a while anyway. One day I came in on my day off. I saw him. Sat down. We poured some whiskey in our coffees and the stories started flowing. This man went threw hell. It was heartbreaking to hear the pain and horrors he experienced. I don't know how he came back and pulled himself together and ended up being so successful.

My grandpa was in World War II. He was a doctor. He saved many lives and he escaped from the Germans. He did the hole through the fence with a stick and he got through him and his best friend but he didn’t die and you saved over 90 peoples life and sacrifice his wedding ring, the Germans to make the other people healthy because they were very sick and give them medicine

What a grand gesture to remind him his service is remembered. Now get him to write a book about his 100 years so future generations will remember.
