Pretty sure "You can fascinate a woman with a piece of cheese" was written about my wife.

The day I proposed, I took her on "The Cheesiest Date Ever™".

First, we went to a semi-local specialty cheese store and got a bunch of random strange cheeses.

Second, we went to The Melting Pot (fondue restaurant chain in the US)

Then, we went to Costco and got a big bag of babybels.

Afterwards, we went to the park where we first met so we could walk around the trail and eat more cheese.

During one of our mid-walk snack breaks, I grabbed us each a babybel from my pocket. She happily munched on hers, and then I got on one knee, unwrapped my "babybel" which was actually a 3d printed ring box wrapped with a ribbon and dipped in red wax to look like a babybel, and proposed.

She said yes! That was about 3 years ago.

1:24:50 I just gained a whole new level of respect for Elijah for putting that so insightfully. I don't get into loot boxes or skins, but that statement of "It's only the top 1000 that matter, so if you can't make it there, your next chance is to look cool, and look like you belong." It's a horrible, and I hate the companies seizing on this, but it does really explain for me why so many people buy into their favourite game's MTX.

With snapchat there is plenty of ways to screenshot without alerting the person you have done it. Don't send things you don't want the world to see.

AG1 sponsorships are going to kill me. The two most common nutrient deficiencies are iron and vitamin d, things ag1 does not address. Most of the other ingredients within ag1, while the dosing information isn’t entirely provided because it’s a “propriety blend” cannot all be present in the minimum effective dosing

I think one of the reasons why Valve doesn't do the after death this, could be to avoid abuse and such, because someone would have to verify that the person has actually died, which is just a lot of extra work. Much easier to just write out your username and password.

1:03:23 who gets to decide what's a cheat and what's a mod?
I know slippery slope is a fallacy, but you know EA and the like are gonna use that.
For example, now they want to put ads in games. Imagine them suing someone who makes a mod to remove them with this precedent

2:20:26 With YouTube ReVanced, you can patch in custom playback speeds. You're able to choose the patches you want, so you could just use playback speed plus a couple others like return YouTube dislike, but leave out things like ad block, for example.

1:33:12 - In the US at least, children are basically exempt from almost all child labor laws if they're working for a family business.
This is particularly common in rural communities where children will work long hours on family farms, often without any kind of compensation.

That sponsorship agreement must’ve had a lot of zeros in it to convince Linus to bring back scrapyard wars, *and announce it before filming* .

Gaming and console was way more expensive than it is now when you adjust them to inflation.

Cheat creators losing these suits is, sadly, NOT good: Cheats are bad, but it sets precedence against DRM circumvention and software modification which can be cited against modders and the developers of emulators: While not the exact same situation, the Yuzu lawsuit Nintendo filed actually cited their case against Gary Bowser, who made hacking devices for the Nintendo Switch, for example

Leases land is a scam. Its not even like its all reclaimed into pubic interest. Its just resold for some guy to take all your money.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned, but you're missing a lot of context on the league of legends skin, which honestly just makes it worse. The skin bundle is being launched to celebrate their first inductee to their hall of fame, Faker, who is franky the GOAT. There is a cost share, with him getting 30% of the revenue from the skin sale. That's the only 'upside' to it. The skin itself has a lot of references to him, including an image of him during a taunt (drawn, not photo), icons, and his signature appears around turrets you kill while using the skin (the only truely unique thing about the skin). So, they're trying to capitalize on the emotional connection to him (he's pretty much universally loved and has been a pro player since the pro league started), but more hilariously, he doesn't use skins himself. He's only used a skin in a few games, and it was a mistake (a techie used a skin for the character while fixing a glitch and faker forgot to change it back), and a few times when his team basically cajoleed him into using their group skins (champions get a skin line, and his team has one four times). On top of all this, the skin line is supposed to be 'to commemorate and remember faker', but its a limited time skin that only whales are going to buy, and whales generally don't actually stick around, or even really play the game. So a skin line, meant to celebrate him will likely NEVER be seen after less than a year. None of it makes any sense except as a cash grab.
