Love my 1080ti. Best investment I've made in a long time. Got it at launch (nvidia reference model) and its still going strong. Gives me the 180+ fps I need for efficient sea monster hunting in Black Desert Online and pulls off 90 FPS in VR without a problem. All of that on my aging i7 4790k

Nvidia will start kneecapping the 1080ti with drivers real soon. We can't have that thing doing so well when we have shiny new 2080 house fires to sell.

AMD driver updates will improve the frame rate of the card at least 15 to 20% overtime. If the price is right, this is a great to freesync monitors owners. I will be pick one up for my 1440p monitor once it gets a bit old and cheaper. Haha.

Pretty happy with my 1080Ti, got it on release, Will be playing on 1440p for the foreseeable future, shouldn't need an upgrade for at least 2 more gens.

A used 1080ti will run you between $500-$600+ USD and they will be used and probably mined with. That said, the 2080 and Radeon VII will be $700+ for the *same* performance from *years ago.* Thinking you are going to get MSRP without pre-ordering is delusional, AMD didn't manufacture many Radeon VII cards and Pascal and RTX prices did not drop to MSRP until after a new card was released. So not only are they overpriced, but they're over-overpriced.

Don't buy anything. Let these companies continue to lose half a billion every quarter. Get a new hobby until they decide to see reason.

I am really looking forwar the Sapphire custom version of this card and its overclocking room. Thanks for another trustworthy review m8 ;)

The 1080ti was running at a low clock compared to the 2080 so if you have them at the same speeds. The 1080ti will probably match it or beat it in every scenario

I wish the Radeon VII were priced at $599. it would be a totally different story

RTX 2080 for the win. The same price and more of GPU.

Joker well done. Rather than overly complain about something others think they're entitled too, you've provided what you could based on what you've got. Don't be surprised if AMD are watching those others overdosing on trashing them. We've recently seen how GPU manufacturers are likely gauging things. I would not be surprised to see AMD gimp the Wattman etc. from get go just to see who / how these folk's act up. Then send out a patch and see who test the O/C. Think about, the Cards have been in Tech hands for a while, they've existed even longer, you think AMD did not test Wattman and debug already? No way, something is not right that's for certain and we often see early Driver issues however this is different, too much like it was on purpose. Is this card maybe too good for NAVI? Did and will AMD keep it gimped (no real O/C) in order to fit it better into NAVI price / performance? It's not conspiracy, it's "open mindedness" which in my opinion is far better than entitled bitter disdain and the whining that comes along with that.

The Vega 7 is a workstation card marketed as gaming because AMD is just that nice. This card has 3.7 TFLOPS of FP64, while RTX 2080 TI has just 10% of that, and 13.8 TFLOPS of FP32, slightly more than the RTX 2080 TI. Beautiful card for 3D rendering with the 16 GB HBM2. It's like combining a Quadro and a GTX card and selling it at GTX price.

I wouldn't buy either card, way too expensive.
