Easy Hoglin Food Farm Tutorial | Simply Minecraft (Java Edition 1.17/1.18)

It's time to switch our attention to a good source of food. Today's farm is a Hoglin farm that produces almost 4,000 cooked pork chops per hour with a single layer. It has the added bonus of also providing a good amount of leather too. This is a super simple farm to build and will give you plenty of food for minimal effort. It's easy to build and can be stacked for even more output! This tutorial will show you how to build this Hoglin farm with a block-by-block guide.

Materials for this simple Hoglin farm 1 layer:

★ Netherrack: 401 (per layer)
★ Red Stained Glass: 197 (per layer)
★ Ladder: 128
★ Red Concrete: 127
★ Torch: 107 (per layer)
★ Chest: 60
★ Light Blue Stained Glass: 60
★ Hopper: 55
★ Soul Sand: 25
★ Crimson Nylium: 16 (per layer)
★ Oak Trapdoor: 16 (per layer)

You can use dirt instead of nylium. It's easier to collect

If you want raw pork chops for trading with butchers you can use soul campfires to kill the hoglins instead. Hoppers can pick up items through the soul campfires so it’s an easy swap

Slight addition, you can consider placing fences (ideally nether brick) above the mushrooms. Sometimes if the hoglins spawn directly on the mushrooms they can get confused and stand still instead of pathing away. The fences prevent this

Personally speaking, when it comes to storage, I like to use a zig-zag pattern. It's a bit more tedious to build, especially when placing all the hoppers, but I like how to automatically refills the bottom chest as you take stuff out. Usually most helpful with auto-sorting, but with only pork chops and leather to deal with, I don't see it being that big a deal.

If you build enough layers like me, the hoglins will die by fall damage and you won't get the cooked porchops. This can be fixed by adding a layer of powdered snow at the bottom to stop fall damage, it also helps kill them faster. :)

Your farms are insane, i built 3 layers cz i ran out of resources and 5 min on the afk platform i found arroind 7+ stacks of porkchop and ?? Leather.
