EASY Food Farm, HOGLIN! [STILL works] 1.16-1.21+

We made small & easy food farm using hoglins for minecraft java. It uses tons of useful tricks to make it work. Producing 800 items/hr of porkchop and leather.

Materials for the lazy people:
~2 stacks of solid blocks (you'll use less)
8 slabs
12 trap doors
2 fence gates
3 fences
3 soul soil
3 warped fungi
4 Hoppers
2 Chests
A few torches
~2 stacks of glass/scaffolding or some other transparent block to stack up to and build an afk platform somewhere around Y=250.

I LOVE how this guy goes in depth to how it works, and the actual mechanics behind it. Not only do I get tons of pork chops, I also learn new minecraft stuff which I can apply to design my OWN farms in the future.

EDIT: could this be layered? For double or even triple the pork? (I like overkill)

This is the most perfect starter food farm in the nether. You don't need to even setup much.

One recommendation for anyone building this, make the drop chamber 3 wide instead of 2. While the hoglins will fall into the 2 wide drop chamber, I had multiple times where two adult hoglins from either side would get caught on each other and prevent all the other hoglins from getting in as well. Making it 3 wide solved that problem instantly.

Also, for those playing in skyblock and don't have access to extra lava easily, I placed a floor of hoppers, put hopper minecart on top, pushed soul sand into them, and then set the soul sand on fire.

I can actually confirm that this does work on Java 1.16.5, it won't work if you're near the platform though, for me anyway, I had to reach the Nether height limit and then they would begin spawing!

For anyone not having any drops from the hoglins, make sure you disable the more mob heads datapacks. This was causing our hoglins to drop no loot. Not sure why
