Skyrim How to Easily Check for Mod Conflicts Using TES5Edit - Demonstrated with RDO

preview_player
Показать описание
This video shows you how to use a Skyrim utility to easily check for conflicts between the mods in your load order. I use my mod, Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (RDO) as an example in this video.

The Skyrim modding utility tool used to do this is TES5Edit (xEdit).

Feels like all these videos just point to random red then go, "Here we have the issue." But what about the rest of the red? "No, that reds okay." :)

I don't think that anyone would be watching this if they had a sparse amount of mods.

Thanks for this, it's another skill point into my modding skill tree. I'm sure I'll eventually look up how to determine if a conflict is harmful and then one day how to patch it, but this is a very useful place to start. It's funny how many comments are mad that you didn't explain the things outside of the scope of this tutorial, and then they are mad that you kept saying they shouldn't be mad because that's outside the scope. People forget this is a VOD and they can skip, or even speed things up. Anyways, thanks again!

Yes, you’ve shown us how to check for conflicts but How do you actually fix them?

Sooo... This video is about how you are NOT going to show anything useful whatsoever, because that requires the knowledge of how things work.... BRILLIANT!
P.S.
Your mod is really good, your "guide" is about nothing.

between this video you've shown, and GamerPoets epic videos, and SSEedit, Mator Smash, and Merge Plugins lol
I have 909 mods in under 30 plugins, all running smoothly.

Thankyou so much! Because this first step, showed how simple it was, and to just be brave

This tool itself don`t solve anything, it just show the big lump of mess Skyrim is when using mods, it's just like that.

this just made me even more confused, all I understand here is "red is bad". I'm gonna roll with that... lol

People, you are supposed to have conflicts. You choose the ones you want to keep.
Calm down and thank the man for taking the time to make this video.
Slow down and pay attention.

Not sure if its because this tutorial is 7 years old but there is no "apply filter to show conflict losers" option. There is an option to "apply filter to show conflicts", but that applies to every mod in the load order rather than just the mods that conflict with that specific mod. What option should I select?

Your voice sounds like some of the ones you hear in Skyrim, haha. Anyway, thanks for the help!

NMM will not allow a plugin to be moved above its masters. This video completely glosses over how to overcome that tiny detail. It just says "move it to the top" with no further advice. This nullifies the entire video.

how do you even move the mod up to below the .esm files?!?!?! ive never used TES5Edit before
