My dad ran a city sewer pipe decades ago, and ran out of PVC sewer pipe, so he used a piece of same size PVC conduit to finish it. It's still there and still working. I know that this wasn't up to code, but it did work.

Not a "Pro" but being "financially limited" (LOL) most of my life, even now as a broken down old fat man!, I've had to do a lot of my own work. Thankful that I've know a lot of "Pros" who've taught me a ton through the years. I really enjoyed this. Currently living in and working, on as I go, a 1910 Greek/Classical Revival. I have to replace the two HVAC units for upstairs and downstairs (5, 175 sq ft combined). Richard is right! Again! Trying to find a system to control each room should not be this hard or impossible. Someone should be able to economically design a functional yet economical system. The closest I'm seeing so far is the Unicorn system. Maybe best year. Until then I'm sticking with temporary hearing and cooling. While not the prettiest it's very economical and get the job done. Thanks for a great show. Looking forward to more!

Where do they find people with a million or 5 million + to renovate a house like that? Seems it would be cheaper to tear it down and rebuild or remove and do new construction... Big fan of both TOH and ATOH; especially Tom Silva!

I don't suppose anyone else detected the animosity between NJ and NE contractors??? "You rat"?? Better to not say anything Rich. There's so much nuance in this vid, I'm not sure everyone caught it. Have always had a soft spot for TOH, but this is different.
