One thing I love about your channel is how you always explain everything in detail, you always give measurements in the metric system as well as the American system, and that you even say "this ingredient you may also know as..." Stephanie, I made this wonderful pie. It is fantastic!! I had never made a coconut cream pie. My husband & I only ate store bought. We love it and we won't go back. I added Rum as you suggested. I notice that you add liquors to some of your pastries. To me, it's a nice touch. I have a notebook of all of your recipes and all have turned out perfectly. Your instructions are excellent. Your recipe comes from an older video, but it's still quite relevant and perfect.

Hi Stephanie, made the Coconut Cream pie for our Christmas dessert. I made the pie yesterday and made the whipped cream topping just before dinner. It is amazing. I substituted the baked pie crust for a graham cracker crust. I didn't have enough chocolate Graham crackers and added a package of no bake crust and added 1/4 cup of coca powder. I did put rum in the filling. It' s to bad I cannot add a photo of my pie. It turned out great Thank you very much Stephanie.

I never brag on a recipe but this one should be bragged on. I have made several of them to give away as a gift and everybody says it's the best coconut cream pie they have ever had. This recipe should have been kept under lock and key. My wife said it's the best thing that has ever been cooked in this house. Thank You very much for sharing this recipe.

Thank you for sharing your videos. During the holidays, I used your videos and successfully baked a coconut cream pie (used milk instead of coconut milk) and lemon meringue pie. My daughter said the coconut cream pie was better than our local restaurant. I grew up with my mom making lemon meringue pie from a box, but this recipe adds much more lemon flavor! Even the meringue came out nice. I just need to get my hands on a good digital thermometer.

I know most recipes say let it chill a couple hours before serving, and that's accurate, you could, but I'll tell ya, Lord have mercy, does pies like this, (any custard based pie), tastes SO GOOD the longer they sit! Ugh! Trust me, make it a couple days before, and you'll never serve it the same day you make it again! I don't know why that is. The first time I discovered this, I didn't plan it, we had a family emergency and we couldn't eat the pie the same day as we often do and it sat 3 days in the fridge! So much better. Just make sure you have a really good, cold refrigerator.👌
