I can confirm that the first 2 are DEFINITELY worth it. You should read Acotar if you prefer spice and characters > plot, but the Poppy war is generally underrated. At the start it’s like Harry Potter x Karate Kid, but the plot changes immensely after part 2. All three of the books knocked me off my feet, they were honestly so good. ❤

The Poppy War is so goodd!!! It's literally one of my top 3 fave series!!! (Can't choose between the 3 though 😅) But I srsly suggest you check the trigger warnings first (there are a LOT but it's worth all the tears and emotional trauma the ending will give you)

Acotar is worth it.. you just have to be patient and keep going till the very end and that journey will be totally worth it.. I wish I could read it for the first time again also shatter me

Push through on A Court of Thorns and Roses. It took me 3 attempts to actually read it. I put aside many times because the pacing was so slow at first. The first book is hard to read until the last 3rd then things get good. Then as the series goes on it gets incredible. Beautiful complex deep characters, deep and relatable issues regarding true love, self-worth, recovering from toxic relationships, struggling with mental health and trauma. It’s a fantasy series that has twists and turns, it’s fun and hilarious and makes you root for the characters. Can’t recommend it enough. And I would have missed out if I didn’t keep reading. So press on
