Trying to make 300 HP on a 2.0 bugeye impreza WRX wagon

hey guys on today's video we are installing in upgraded Turbo, STI intercooler and a K&N air intake system on our friends bugeye WRX getting it ready for a protune at pure tuning in Toledo.
Hopefully with this mods the car will be able to achieve the 300 horsepower gold that the owner has.

Wow. Great work. Its really easy to tell that you take pride in what you do and treat every project like it's your own. Not a lot of shops would go out of their way to adjust an exhaust or make sure that most of the OEM plastic covers fit again. It's super awesome to see a shop like that.

I'd recommend replacing the stock turbo oil supply line with a new braided one. Both for ease of turbo install and for preventive maintenance. This car is 16 yrs old, and the extra $40-50 for the new braided supply line is worth the insurance of a healthy turbo investment. Good vid, though. Thanks for posting.

I always say that going with a 16g turbo on a wrx is pointless. A vf39, vf43, or vf48 is cheaper, makes the same amount of power, is capable of running for over 100k, will literally fit like oem. And did I miss something or is this guy really trying to hit 300whp on the stock light blue injectors, stock fuel pump, and stock boost control solenoid? Surely they're already upgraded I hope...

Bigger the turbo.. the more exhaust it needs to spool up. In the end your pushing more air or holding more boost for a longer period of time

What I wanna know is why didn’t you just call the customer and say “hey bro, I need to buy a tube to make your new hose for your inter cooler to fit. Is that cool?” That way it could have been installed and I’m sure you would have bought a good one
