Even with a properly installed cold air intake with a heat shield and tune, you’re not gaining anywhere close to 50 unless you add some headers or an exhaust along with it. Like the audacity of some of these channels to be so confidently wrong😭An intake and tune alone is a perfect starting point 100% but stop capping to these people about their potential gains.

Dude you can’t just throw e85 into every engine. It will destroy certain components like fuel lines, seals, and o rings if they aren’t made to handle it. Also you generally need larger injectors and a larger fuel pump to switch to e85. E85 isn’t available everywhere which can be difficult on road trips or at home (I don’t have it within 30 minutes of me so I have to tune to 91 pump gas). E85 also gets used much more quickly which means you have to fill up more often. This is not a super easy trick to gain free horsepower. There is no way to gain large amounts of horsepower from a cheap part or trick without risking damage to the engine. If you want to gain horsepower you should, get a tune, get aftermarket upgrades for restrictive factory components (exhaust system, headers, downpipe, etc…), and then upgrade the internals and fueling system as well as other necessary drivetrain components (oftentimes your clutch needs to be upgraded to avoid slipping at higher power as well as other components depending on the car). All of these modifications vary in massive ways depending on the car so make sure you do your research. Also I am pretty new to this (I recently got a evo x, I have been researching and learning about cars for a while) so feel free to correct me on anything I said if you are more experienced than me.

Well it depends on what tune u get, if you just put a cold air intake, it’s still going to suck more air it’s just it might run lean, but tuning your car with a cold air intake will make the car pump more fuel and make the injectors pump more fuel for the more air you have coming in, that’s why some people get check engine lights when they put a cold air intake on, but with turbo cars you don’t, because you are just making the turbo spool up faster and give the engine more boost, but the ecu adapts because the boost levels change when your driving, it will only give you one if you are over boosted to the moon.

I had a guy come up to me dogging my cold air intake calling it a hot intake and my engine is going to suffer… Ik he’s not wrong about the first part but the air is going directly into a turbo that’s at least a couple hundred degrees so like does it really matter when ur turbocharged?

Bro, the experts have literally done videos with dyno tests before and after even with tunes the most hp gain you’ll get from a intake is 1-2 percent, anything more than that is usually because the oil filter was nasty and needed replaced

BS, the best cold air intake is factory IMO, add a k&n and ditch a silencer if installed. Why draw hot air into the intake? Try a Foxbody with a BBK inner fender cold air intake in the rain, you’ll be taking a soaked K&N off

To run e85 you need a new a whole new fuel system
