This was a normal day in my life. Have been putting up so many guest preparation vlogs and so many variety dishes included. And it doesnt happen everyday. Only on certain occasions I prepare such. Our meals are very simple on certain days and it all depends on my mood totally. Though I love preparing variety dishes, at the same time, I dont enjoy cooking on normal days where we cook rice, curry, side dish, pappad so and so. It’s kind of boring for me.

Poha :
Red or white poha - 2 cups
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 3 - 4 slit
Curry leaves - few
Onion - 1 small chopped
Jaggery powder - 1 tbsp
Salt
Cashews - a handful chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 1/4 -1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Coriander leave s- a handful chopped (optional)

Fish curry :
Fish - 1 kg
Grated coconut - 2 cup
Kashmiri red chilly powder - 2 tbsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
Salt
Water - 3 cups
Shallots - 4 crushed
Ginger - a small piece crushed
Green chillies - 4 slit
Garcinia - 3

Tempering :
Shallots - 4 sliced
Coconut oil - 4 tbsp’ curry leaves - a handful

My favourite part is ur tea time outside with ur husband. More than a dinner or lunch, that couple time with husband is something relaxing and refreshing. Though we wont be getting a brief time without kids. Being in a foreign country far from our close families and siblings, the close bonding within our small family is very much essential.

Add a small tomato too while grinding the coconut for fish curry.. It really tastes good😊

Don't use cooked rice for dosa for dosa batter
*4 cup rice
*1 cup urad dal
*2 tablespoon fennel seeds
Soaked it for 5 to 6 hours and grind it separately and mix them with salt
Ferment this batter for 8 hours and its done😊....luv u from TN

When making poha along cumin seeds add a pinch of hing powder nd curry leaves. You can also add frozen peas& in the garnish with chopped coriander leaves. It's enchances the taste.

Very nice video . When you burn skin immediately apply honey keep it for 5 to 10 minutes then wash it with water.No discolouration of skin or vesicles are formed. This is my grandmother tip I am doing it from so many years. Try it

Sprinkle little sugar on your poha ...then while cooking add water on cover lid ....that way it will cook without getting burnt...also poha requires good amount of onions

Don't throw water when you clean the rice or dal or any kind of pulses ..
It work as a fertilizer for plants..

My mom adds little coriander in the oil too along with the other things you showed for the poha and in the end some shredded coconut. Sometimes little a milk is also added in the end..just lik 2 TBs of milk to keep it from drying out. My Nani adds of finely chopped ginger with the onions and bhunofys it well in the beginning. And usually we use peanuts. We Maharashtrians n thats the way we make poha.
